D.A.R.E. To Resist Ninja Drugs and Ninja Violence (Issue 4 Part 1)
Eh. Gordito, the 12 year old who grew a mustache by sheer force of will is now under Dr. McNinja’s tutelage. The Clone of Benjamin Franklin shows up and pretty much falls flat as a developed character. I loved Rob Schrab’s Ben Franklin in Scud: The Disposable Assassin - but this just wasn’t working for me. There’s some drug ring peddling some new Ninja Drug and Dr. McNinja’s dad is on the case.
The only part that made me laugh in this issue was the exchange of dialogue with McNinja and his dad about doing some father son bonding. I don’t know - I think I’ll skip the Intermission story by Benito Cereno right now and just finish up the rest of this issue.
D.A.R.E. To Resist Ninja Drugs and Ninja Violence (Issue 4 Part 2)
The Frans Rayner storyline comes to a close with little fanfare and no laughter. Which is sad, because I thought the first volume was great and I still recommend it to everyone out there in comic book land. I suppose it’s back to the intermission story, White Ninja, Black Ninja, now.
White Ninja, Black Ninja! (short)
BAM! Benito Cereno saves this Volume from going under. Thanks Benito - you rock. Now I can recommend people buying this book. Do it!
